You can easily upload your workplace roster and workplace payroll deductions by SFTP
The Uncommon Giving platform supports SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) file upload for Roster Upload and Payroll Deductions.
If you upload your roster via SFTP or API integration, the Uncommon Giving application will automatically manage your roster for you, ie-
- If our platform sees a new employee ID, it will create a new Uncommon Giving workplace roster record
- If our platform does not see an existing Uncommon Giving workplace employee ID in an updated roster import, our platform will "Archive" the Uncommon Giving roster employee ID
To begin the SFTP process-
- (Client) Request SFTP credentials from your Uncommon Giving representative
- (UG) Our team will provide you with SFTP credentials-
- Host address
- Username
- Password
- Port = 22
- (Client) Consult with your company's IT resources and policies to access the enter the SFTP credentials and Port # using a company approved method.
- While we do not recommend or endorse an SFTP application, a common one that we see clients utilize is FileZilla.
Once your connection is successful, simply drag and drop or have your IT system upload CSV files to the respective SFTP folder-
- Rosters uploaded to "employee"
- Payroll Deduction to "payroll"
- CSV templates for each of the above can be found in their respective Uncommon Giving admin menu.
