      Giving Made Even Easier: Updates Just For You!

      We're committed to making your giving experience as seamless and intuitive as possible. Check out the latest improvements designed to enhance your journey!

      July 2025

      See the Impact of Your Generosity: We have some exciting news! We've made some great updates to help you better understand the incredible impact of your giving and volunteering.

      • Your Impact, Quantified: You do so much good, and now you can see it in a whole new way! We've added a new economic impact value to your My Volunteering Hours and My Approved Hours cards on the My Volunteering page. This new metric shows you the total economic value of all the volunteer hours you've logged, based on a per-hour estimate from Independent Sector. It's a great way to see just how much your time is worth to the causes you care about!

      • New “Attended” Volunteer Event registration status: In your Organization’s Volunteering Events, there is a new “Attended” status for event registrants/attendees.

        • An Organization Admin can manually change an existing registrant’s status to Attended on a one-at-a-time, ad-hoc basis.

        • Your Registered status will automatically transition to Attended when you log hours for the event.

        • The “Pending” registration status has been renamed to “Waitlist”

      • At the My Volunteering page, we fixed a bug that was incorrectly counting volunteer hours without an associated nonprofit toward your My Nonprofits statistic. Now, that number will more accurately reflect the number of organizations you've supported.

      While some exciting major developments are still underway, the latest updates bring subtle but impactful improvements to ensure your generosity continues to make a difference seamlessly.

      • Plan Volunteer Hours Further Ahead: You can now schedule Standalone Volunteer Hours up to a full year in advance. This gives you more flexibility and control when planning future volunteer activities, helping you organize your team's efforts with greater foresight.
      • Updated Contact Information: We've updated our physical address references to our new P.O. Box, ensuring that any correspondence is directed to the most current location.

      • Your Personal Touch, Always Visible: Your unique message matters! We've fine-tuned the gift flow to ensure every donation is a mindful act.

        • At Step 1 of the Gift flow, the "Enter" key no longer moves to the next step, encouraging you to fully explore the "Tell us why you are giving" section. This thoughtful adjustment ensures you have the opportunity to share the powerful stories behind your support.

        • At Step 3 of the Gift flow, the "Personalization" section will now always be displayed, reminding you to share your heartfelt intentions if you forgot to add them at Step 1.

        • At all steps of the Gift flow, the recipient Nonprofit’s City & State are now displayed under the “Gift to...” subheader.

      • Clarity in Matching Your Impact: We've added the NPO name to your "Match request received!" email, providing you with even greater clarity and connection to the organizations you're supporting.

      • Simplified Tracking for Offline Matches: Keeping track of your offline generosity just got easier! Offline Gift Matches will now clearly display in your grids (and for your Organization’s Admins!) using the date your request was created. This provides a consistent and accurate timeline for all your impactful contributions.

      • Streamlined Currency Inputs: We've updated our currency inputs across the platform for a more consistent and user-friendly experience. You'll now notice a unified look and feel when entering monetary values, making your interactions even smoother.

      • Streamlined Sign-In: You'll notice a cleaner look on our sign-in page, making it even easier to access your account and manage your giving.

      • Improved Uncommon Wallet Guidance: We've refined the messaging in the gift flow to more clearly guide you to Set Up Your Uncommon Wallet if your balance is insufficient. This helps ensure your contributions can always go through without a hitch.

      • Simplified Account Management: We've transitioned all remaining Guest accounts to full Giver accounts, streamlining our platform and ensuring a more consistent experience for everyone who supports the causes they care about.

      • Android SDK Update: Our Android Mobile App's SDK has been updated, ensuring compatibility and future-proofing for mobile interactions.

      These enhancements are designed to provide a more intuitive and efficient giving experience, allowing you to focus on what matters most: making a positive impact.

      We're thrilled to announce exciting updates designed to enhance your giving experience! We've been hard at work behind the scenes, rolling out new features, refining existing ones, and squashing bugs to make your philanthropic efforts smoother and more impactful.

      A More Intuitive Interface & Enhanced Support

      • Your Wallet Balance, Clearer Than Ever: We've fine-tuned the look of your Wallet balance card! The arrow icon has been subtly adjusted for better consistency, and we've removed the hover state to prevent accidental flipping. Your balance information will now stay front and center, exactly when you need it.

      • Important Updates for Suspended Accounts: If your email experiences an issue due to fraud risk, we've implemented a new system to ensure you're promptly notified. An email is now sent directly to suspended users when our system (GIACT) flags their email for fraud. This helps you understand the situation and take action more quickly.

      • Offline Gift Matches, Always Accessible: Even if your organization has matching features disabled, you'll now have access to the Offline Gift Matches page and menu if you've submitted an offline gift match request. This means you can always track the status of your matches, giving you more control and visibility.

      Behind-the-Scenes Improvements for a Smoother Experience

      • Effortless Address Entry: We've fixed an issue with address forms (especially when adding payment methods) to ensure that your City and State fields automatically populate correctly based on your zip code. This means quicker, hassle-free transactions for you!

      • Seamless Giving: We've resolved a minor technical glitch in the giving process, ensuring that your donations go through smoothly without any hiccups.

      • Perfect Dates, Every Time: You might not even notice this one, but we've fixed a tiny bug in our date picker. Now, when you select a date, it will always be the correct one, even during evening hours.

      • No more double notifications! ACH accounts that fail our GIACT review will now correctly trigger only a single failure notification, keeping your alerts clear and concise.

      Mobile App Enhancements

      • Cutting-Edge Mobile Experience: Your mobile app experience just got even better! We've updated to the latest Apple Store dependencies, ensuring smoother performance and access to the newest features.

      • Seamless App Store Access: We now own and operate our App Store pages, and all in-product links have been updated to direct you to our new, optimized URLs.

      • Branded App Store Buttons: You'll now see standard branded buttons for Apple & Google App Stores across the product and in emails, providing a consistent and polished experience.

      • Continued Access to Offline Gift Matches: Your past generosity remains accessible! You'll now retain access to your Offline Gift Matches even if you are archived from your Workplace, ensuring your complete giving history is always at your fingertips.

      We're thrilled to share some exciting updates designed to make your giving experience even more impactful and seamless!

      Give Any Amount, Big or Small! We've heard your feedback and are excited to announce that we've reduced the minimum gift amount from $10 to just $2! Now, it's even easier to make a difference, no matter the size of your contribution. Every bit counts, and we're committed to making giving accessible to everyone.

      Streamlined External Deposit Requests We've made it simpler and more secure to manage external deposit requests. We've replaced bank account numbers with a direct "contact us" link, ensuring your information is always protected. Plus, you'll now receive only the essential payment receipt email, keeping your inbox tidy.

      Even Better, Behind the Scenes Improvements! We've made some great improvements to ensure a smoother experience:

      • Volunteer Matching Balances: Your volunteer matching balance will now only appear when the volunteer feature is active, keeping your profile clear and relevant.

      • Offline Gift Matches: This option will now be hidden if your organization has gift matching disabled and you don't have a history of offline gift match requests, simplifying your view.

      • New Feature - External Deposits: Donors can submit a request to Uncommon Giving to process funds sent outside of UG platform’s Wallet Funding feature (i.e. via check or wire). This feature is available by selecting "Submit Deposit Request" in the "Fund Now" dropdown at the Fund > Overview page.

      • Giving to Nonprofits Outside USA: Integration with Benevity to support donations from international donors to international nonprofits.

      • Account Linking provides a streamlined experience for users with multiple roles. To start toggling between roles, link your donor account via your admin account at Settings > Linked Account > Edit.

      • Double The Donation integration: To facilitate matching gift programs, we automate the creation of offline match requests in UG from donations made by employees directly on NPO websites that are integrated with Double the Donation's 360MatchPro (i.e., outside of the Uncommon Giving platform).

      • Items per page options added at Funding History, Giving History, Volunteer History.
