ACH & Payment Security on Uncommon Giving

We understand that the security of your financial information is a top priority. This article explains how Uncommon Giving handles payment data and the safeguards in place to protect you.

Your Financial Data Is Never Stored on Our Platform

Uncommon Giving does not store any banking or credit card information on its platform — and neither Uncommon Giving staff nor the platform itself has access to that data at any point. Your sensitive financial details are never visible within our system.

🏦 How We Process Payments Securely

To ensure your financial information is handled with the highest level of protection, Uncommon Giving partners with industry-certified third-party processors:

  • Bank Transfers (ACH) — Processed through a PCI-compliant merchant processor, meaning your bank account details are handled under strict security standards designed to prevent unauthorized access or fraud.

  • Credit Cards — Stored and processed through a PCI-compliant credit card vault, a secure, encrypted environment specifically built for handling card data safely.

🔢 Partial Account Number Display

For your convenience and ease of recognition, Uncommon Giving displays only the last 3–4 digits of an account number within the platform. This allows you to identify a saved payment method at a glance without exposing your full account details. The complete account number is never shown, stored, or accessible on our platform.

🔐 What Is PCI Compliance?

PCI compliance refers to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) — a globally recognized set of security requirements that organizations must meet to safely handle payment information. Businesses that are PCI compliant have undergone rigorous assessments to ensure your data is protected against breaches and misuse.
